5 simple steps for organizing training on your site or intranet

Using the e-Learning module, education and skill development of users or employees can be carried out with monitoring and testing.

Module capabilities:

• management of all training processes from the front end
  
• search of training course content with respect to access rights
  
• access rights to create or modify courses
  
• adding lesson content directly from files
  
• self-service checking and testing
  
• audio and video content in courses and test questions
  
• admission to subsequent courses after successful completion of previous ones
  
• import of SCORM formatted courses
  
• grade book with test results and attempts
  
• automatic test scoring
  

Step 1: Creating a course

All actions concerning the settings and management of courses are available from the front end.



Enter the parameters and description of the course.

Note: usually when a course is being created access to it is only provided to the user group(s) which is allows to create courses.  After the course if fully ready, it is made accessible to all related user groups.
After saving the course, it appears on the page with the course list.



Step 2: Entering course material

Course material is entered by creating chapters and lessons.





Step 3: Creating practice questions

Questions can be attached to each lesson and can be used as a self-test.

Self-test (practice) questions do not affect the final test scores.  They are simply intended to help users determine their level of comprehension of the material. Practice questions do not have to be answered before moving on to the next lesson. 

So let’s make some practice questions in the lessons.



The following types of questions can be used:

• single choice – one answer from the list is correct (radio buttons);
  
• multiple choice – more than one of the answers in the list may be correct (check boxes);
  
• sort – the items in the answer must be put into the correct order;
  
• text answer – answers are entered in a text field.
  

Questions for each lesson can be created using any or all of these methods.  At the end of each lesson for which there are practice questions, a link will be available to go to the practice test.





Step 4: Creating tests

Test can be created for chapters or for a complete course.





We’ll create 3 more tests.



The training course is ready.

Step 5:  Publishing results

In the training section of you site, you can publish additional information for users using components such as the Course report (bitrix:learning.student.certificates), Student's gradebook (bitrix:learning.student.gradebook) and others.
