Bitrix 11.0: Event Log

Bitrix 11.0: Event Log

In Version 11 of the product, the number of events which are recorded in the Event Log has been expanded.

The Event Log is for the most part a tool for monitoring events which have occurred in the site or in the intranet.  As a rule, it is for use by top administration or the portal’s main technical administrator.

At present, events connected with users (authorization, registration, password changes, etc. ), with access privileges, files and folders, infoblocks, document libraries, forums, attack attempts and events where the user activity limit setting has been exceeded are recorded.

A full list of logged events as well as a history of when the event log is activated and deactivated, is kept in a separate file.

To display changes in the front end of the product, a new component, Change Log, has been created in the Utilities section of the component list in the visual editor).  Viewing of the log is accessible to users who have a level of access in the Kernel module that includes the View Event Log operation. The front end tool is recommended for the director(s) of the company.

This component does not display all of the events which are visible in the back end.

Important: when the change log is turned on, don’t forget to configure the filter in the settings of the component, so that only chosen information is displayed.

When using this component in Bitrix Intranet, you can filter by events in the log.  For the filter to appear in Bitrix Site Manager, minor changes to the component template are necessary.
