Part 3:

Synchronization of lists with SharePoint

Lists can be integrated with analogous lists in MS SharePoint.

Note that if a list was originally created in the intranet, and later the need to integrate it into SharePoint arises, then a list with fields must be created in SharePoint.  In this case, only the records are synchronized, not the list settings.

If you need to import a SharePoint list into the product, then you simply create a list.  Fields in the list will be created automatically after corresponding fields are set in Step 3 below (the ‘new field’ option is used).
We import our list to SharePoint.  To do this, we’ll need to create a link.

This button launches a 3-step wizard for creating a connection.

Enter the parameters of the MS SharePoint server.  If the data is incorrect, there will be a ‘server not accessible’ message or access denial.

Attention! Only Basic authorization is currently supported. It must be enabled in the IIS settings.

Indicate the list which you want to synchronize.

If there is already synchronization set up for the list, it will not be available to choose.

Set up the correspondence between fields.

Save the settings and execute synchronization.

We see that the records have been imported to SharePoint.

Synchronization of lists is two-way, and the update period is entered in Step 3.

This ends the saga of the Common Lists module.  If you have questions, please ask, I’ll be glad to answer.

Binding Values in List Element
Hello Anna smile:-),

I learn a lot from your Common List module explanation blog. Tqvm. BTW, would you kind to provide sample solution (array) on how we could bind the values of field 1 to field 2. For example if in field 1 user select "City A", field 2 with automatically select "State X".

Best regards,
Ash
