Direct server-side installation with the BitrixSetup

The BitrixSetup script downloads the product trial version from www.bitrixsoft.com directly to your server, thus avoiding the need to download the installation package to your local PC. With the BitrixSetup script, you can unpack the content management system files without having to access the server via the SSH, or using any other external applications.

Download the script to the web site root directory and open it with your browser.

Trial version requirements

• PHP 4.3.9 or higher;
• Apache 1.3 or higher or MS IIS 5.0** or higher;
• MySQL 4.1.11 or higher, Oracle 9.0 or higher or MSSQL 2000 or higher;
• Zend Optimizer 3.0. or higher
  

* All software packages required by Bitrix Site Manager are available on the vendor web sites for free (except commercial version of Oracle and MSSQL).
** If used with the MS IIS, PHP must be installed as ISAPI.

	Zend Optimizer is required for the trial product version only. Zend Optimizer is used to encrypt the system source code. The commercial product version is delivered in open source code. Encrypted trial version files can be replaced with the open source files via the SiteUpdate system upon entering the commercial license key.

Trial versions of Bitrix Site Manager include the demo site, which depicts the basic features of the product. The demo site helps you to learn the software architecture and features, integrate the site manager into an existing site design, and prepare to launch your project.

To continue working with Bitrix Site Manager beyond the 30-day trial period, you have to buy and register your copy.

Bitrix Environment

The Bitrix Environment package includes software required by the trial version of Bitrix Site Manager. With the Bitrix Environment package, you can easily install all the server software on your local PC.

Please note that Bitrix Environment supports only the PHP5-based trial versions of Bitrix Site Manager.

To install Bitrix Site Manager using Bitrix Environment, just unfold the appropriate archive to the "x:\Program Files\Bitrix Environment\www" folder.
