  • The Settings form of the Site Explorer module is designed for customising the global module settings. For convenience, the form is divided into two tabs: Settings and Access.

    "Settings" tab

    This tab is used to alter the general module parameters.

    Field Description
    Default page editor The default mode in which pages are edited. The following modes are available:
    • Text editor - displays the file as is without PHP code. However, his mode shows all HTML tags.
    • PHP source editor - displays the page source code. The mode is to be used by developers only.
    • Visual HTML editor - opens the document in the integrated visual HTML editor, whose user interface is similar to that of Microsoft Word.
    Use previous version of the visual HTML editor Check this box to use the previous HTML editor version. Can be useful on outdated systems. 
    Allow using styles without names in visual HTML editor Check this box to have also nameless CSS styles displayed in the CSS list when editing a page in the HTML editor mode.

    Note!
    Style names are specified in the .styles.php file located in the site template folder.

    Open WYSIWYG editor in full-screen mode by default If the visual HTML editor is selected as the default editor, enabling this option will open the editor in the full screen mode rate rather than within a page.
    Show additional icons in the panel Check this box to display the page include areas editing buttons in the administration toolbar. This is recommended setting for the 3.x product versions.
    Site settings
    Use individual settings for every site If checked, each site will have own set of preferences. Otherwise, the default names of properties and menu types etc. are used for all sites.
    Settings for the site Select here the site whose properties are to be edited in the fields below.
    Menu types This form contains pairs of mnemonic names of menu types and their descriptions. Menu types are usually named after their disposition, but you are free to provide any name you want.
    Field Description
    Type The site menu type (mnemonic name). Usually, mnemonic names of menu types are specified according to the menu location (e.g. top, left etc.). Only Roman letters are possible here.
    Name An arbitrary name (description) of the menu type.
    Number of additional menu parameters Number of parameters which can be passed in the menu item hyperlink and further processed by the menu display template. For example, if this field equals 1, the following parameter may be passed: ?lang=ru
    Property types This form is used to create the site page properties and their descriptions.
    Field Description
    Type The property type (mnemonic name). Only Roman letters are possible here.
    Name An arbitrary property name (description). The name specified will be displayed in the folder (file) property editing form.

    Mnemonic names of the page property types used must correspond to the names of the META tag attributes, such as page keywords or description.

    "Access" tab

    This form is used to customize permissions of user groups to access the module resources.

    Field Description
    Default The access level of user groups for which the default value is specified.
    [User groups] Changes access policy for the specified user group. The following access permissions are possible:
    • deny - denies users to access files and folders;
    • accessible folders only - permits users to access folders whose settings allow access for this user group;
    • view module settings in read-only mode - permits users to view the module preferences but not edit them.

    Control buttons

    Button Description
    Save Saves the current changes.
    Reset Cancels current changes. Restores the original parameter values.
    Restore defaults Returns the default module property values.
