Bitrix Site Manager assumes that you create information block types using the New information block type form (Content -> Information blocks -> Information block types, click Add new type). Every new information block type is automatically added to the left menu of the administrative section for faster access:

| List | Opens a list of all information blocks. |
| Create | Creates a new information block type in this form. |
| Delete | Deletes the currently edited information block type. Important! |

This tab offers basic parameters of an information block type.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Use RSS export | If checked, the information blocks may be exported to an RSS file stored in a directory specified in the Path to exported RSS files field of the module settings form. |
| Sorting index | The sort weight defining the position of information blocks of this type in lists. The less is the value, the higher the blocks are positioned in lists. |
| Save operation handler | The full path name of the script (handler) called when saving an information block. The handler is responsible
for pre-processing the information block element fields and can be used to alter data before it is saved. This field is for use by developers only. See Creating custom forms for the information block elements editing. |
| File with element editing form | The full path name of the script which is used to display the element editing user interface. Can be used to
create custom editing forms. This field is for use by developers only. |
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Save | Applies changes performed on this page and switches to the list of information block types. |
| Apply | Applies changes performed on this page without switching to the list of information block types. |
| Cancel | Cancels current changes and restores parameters to their original values. |
