Modules

Introduction

The Bitrix Site Manager ships in different editions. Each edition is a set of standard modules. Additionally, custom modules may be created for use with the system. The number of modules that can be installed in the system is unlimited.

This section discloses principles of creating custom modules.

In this section

Structure of files - depicts the structure of files required to be included in a module ;
Administrative scripts - describes how the module scripts run in the administrative section;
Administrative menu - describes how the module administrative menu functions;
Language files - outlines the language files' storage layout and how to include them in administrative scripts and module components;
Module description - describes the class used to manipulate the module (install, uninstall, get a list of rights etc.);
Installation - outlines actions required to be performed during the installation;
Uninstallation - outlines actions required to be performed during the uninstallation;
Module parameters - describes how to store and manipulate the module parameters;
Interaction of modules - outlines the technology of explicit module interaction and the event-driven interaction;
Identifiers - shows the table of the standard module identifiers.
