    Button Description
    List of templates Opens a list of site templates.
    New template Creates a new site template in this form.
    Copy template Creates a new site template by duplicating the currently edited one.
    Delete template Deletes the currently edited site template.

    "Template" tab
    Field Description
    ID The template identifier. Must not contain other letters than Roman. A string in brackets is the path to a folder containing the template.

    Note: a new template is created in the folder /bitrix/templates/template_ID.
    Name Arbitrary template name.
    Description The template description.
    Site template design
    This field is the text editor containing the template code. The macro #WORK_AREA# demarcates the top and bottom parts of the site design. This is where the page body resides.
    "CSS file" tab
    CSS file
    This field is the text editor containing styles used by the template. The file itself is stored in /bitrix/templates/template_ID/styles.css.
    "Additional files" tab
    Additional files
    This tab displays extra files used by the template (images, menu templates etc.).
    • Modify - edits the corresponding file;
    • Add include file - opens a form in which you can create a new file for use with the template.

    Controls

    Button Description
    Save Applies changes performed on this page and switches to the list of site templates. Displayed when editing an existing site.
    Apply Applies changes performed on this page without switching to the list of site templates.
    Reset Cancels current changes and restores parameters to their original values.
