Visitor sessions

This page displays sessions of the site visitors.

The Bitrix Site Manager considers the following events and actions as the session start:

Formally, a session is one "visit" to the site.

Filter

ParameterDescription
ID, login, name, last name* Specifies to find sessions by the visitor (user) registration information.
Session ID* The ID of the required session.
Start date Specifies the range of dates within which the required sessions started.
End date Specifies the range of dates within which the required sessions finished.
Visitor ID* The ID of the required visitor. Compare to the ID of a registered user.
Registered Find sessions of registered or unregistered visitors or both.
First time/returned Finds sessions of either first-time or returned visitors.
Added to Favorites Filter out sessions of visitors who added the site to their Favorites list during the session.
IP address* Allows to find visitors by the IP address.
UserAgent* The UserAgent of the required visitors.
Country* Specifies the country of the required visitors. Country is determined as per IP address.
Now in stop list Finds visitors who was added to the stop-list.
Stop list record ID Allows to select visitors who was added to the stop-list by the stop-list record ID.
Hits Range of number of hits (loaded pages) initiated during the required session. The report will include only sessions with number of hits within this range.
Events Range of number of events initiated during the required session. The report will include only sessions with number of events within this range.
Visits on advertising campaign Filters out sessions of visitors who came under an advertising campaign, common visitors or both.
Advertising campaign ID* The ID of an advertising campaign to filter out sessions in the report. Used in conjunction with the previous field. 
Returns under advertising campaign This flag allows to find direct- hit or on-return sessions under an advertising campaign. Used in conjunction with the Visits on advertising campaign field.
referer1 / referer2* Advertising campaign identifiers - referer1and referer2. Used in conjunction with the Visits on advertising campaign field.
referer3* Auxiliary parameter to match against visits under an advertising campaign - referer3. Used in conjunction with the Visits on advertising campaign field.
Return on advertising campaign Allows to find only sessions on return under advertising campaign. Used in conjunction with the Visits on advertising campaign field.
First page Finds sessions by the first viewed page and site. Additionally, you can specify how to display false requests (error 404): with other requests, only false requests or all pages except false requests.
Last page Same but filters by the last pages in sessions.
Filter between-field logic Defines how the search is performed:
  • "and" - display records satisfying all criteria;
  • "or" - display records satisfying at least one criteria.

* - These fields allow using Boolean expressions. You can get information on the syntax by clicking on the symbol "?" next to the field. For exact searches using this field, mark the corresponding checkbox.

Click Set filter to activate the filter. To display all information, click Cancel.

Button Description
Excel Exports data from the table to the MS Excel format.

Action menu 
Clicking the action button of any session opens a menu allowing to:
  • Details - opens a separate window displaying the detailed information about the session.
ID The ID of the session in the database. Your session is in red.
Visitor For a registered visitor:
Start The date and time the session started.
Duration Duration of the session.
IP address The visitor IP address. The link starts the whois lookup service (http://www.whois.sc/IP).
Hits Number of hits (pageloads) made during this session. The link opens the list of hits with the filter set to the ID of the session.
Events Number of events initiated during this session. The link opens the list of events with the filter set to the ID of the session.
Advertising campaign If a visitor made a direct hit or return under an advertising campaign (AC), this column shows: the AC ID, referer1/referer2/referer3. The link on the AC ID opens the list of advertising campaigns with the filter set to this AC.
Selected Number of records selected from the database.

Detailed session view

FieldDescription
IDThe ID of the session in the database.
HitsNumber of viewed pages.
StartThe date and time the session started.
EndThe date and time the session finished (time of the last hit).
DurationDuration of the session.
VisitorInformation on the registered user or visitor.
First IP addressThe IP address of the visitor at the time the session started.
Last IP addressThe IP address of the visitor at the time the session closed.
CountryCountry of the visitor.
ReferrerThe page from which the visitor entered your site.
Target pageThe page that the visitor entered when the session started.
Last pageThe last page on your site opened by the visitor.
Advertising campaignIf a visitor made a direct hit or return under an advertising campaign (AC), this column shows: the AC ID, referer1/referer2/referer3. The link on the AC ID opens the list of advertising campaigns with the filter set to this AC.
UserAgentThe UserAgent of the visitor.
