Localization Interface
  • The main function of the Localization module is to create and maintain catalogs with language mirrors. There is no limit to the number of product localizations that you can perform;
  • The Localization module allows you to view the total number of translated (localized) and untranslated (not yet localized) messages and lexemes for each system file or folder comparing them to the source language which has been chosen during the installation process be default;
  • All lexemes are stored in special files which are easily accessed using the Localization module;
  • define the correct charset for each language (additional settings); the language file editing page displays all messages that has the same charset as the current page (current charset is the property of the current site);
  • The Localization module allows you to retain pieces of code found in the templates of system messages. E.g. the original messages containing "#ID#", "#COUNT#" will be displayed by the Localization module in order to avoid damaging of the template architecture (normally these pieces of code should not be changed when localizing the system messages);
  • Back-up copies of translated files;
  • Front-end view of all lexemes available for translation on a certain page;
  • *tar.gz and CSV import/export of translated lexemes;
  • "Search" and "Replace" options for a quicker product localization;
  • You can add, modify and even remove any source language lexemes, or use HTML tags in system messages.

The Localization module allows you to translate all GUI lexemes and system messages into different languages (table headers, links, buttons etc.). There are a number of product localizations that you can download and install absolutely free of charge! More details about how you can localize Bitrix Site Manager or Bitrix Intranet Portal can be found in Bitrix Site Manager Localization Guide, available in PDF (0.5 Mb).
