How many users can I have on my Intranet Portal?

Each product license of any edition of Bitrix Intranet Portal already includes 25 portal users. The number of portal users can be anytime extended by simply purchasing additional user licenses. However, you should concider the option to buy Bitrix Intranet Portal with an unlimited user license if you plan to create more than 499 user accounts for your Intranet Portal. Secure Platform for Effective Communications with the 'Outside World'

Users invited to the extranet but who are not are not employees of the company receive limited access rights ONLY to the extranet - without the capacity to view information on the internal part of the portal. Company employees can also be invited into workgroups in the extranet and create direct discussions in groups (in forums and blogs), plan activities on a shared calendar, set tasks and monitor their progress, publish reports, etc. Contacts need only to have an email invitation to the Extranet and a supported browser; for employees, the transition to the extranet from the portal does not require authorization - there is an Extranet button on in the main menu options.

The advantage of the Extranet, as neutral territory, is that it is a resource that works on the same principles as the Internet. Thus, there is no need to retrain employees, or contacts, for the new method of communication. Contacts need only to have an invitation to the Extranet and a supported browser, and for employees, the transition to the extranet from the portal does not require authorization - pressing the Extranet button is sufficient. The extranet provides the company many opportunities to lower costs of client support and makes working with partners more convenient in a controlled work setting, specially made for cooperation.

Workflow and Dataflow Processes Automation

Besides many other usefull collaboration and communiction tools present in Bitrix Intranet Portal, using the Workflow and Business Processes modules allow you to manage any business processes run in your company - from the simplest to the most complex ones. Publishing news on the portal, fulfilling orders, collaboration with the partner network or clients, and much more! You can create your own business processes using the built-in Visual Editor, or use standard business process templates already included in Bitrix Intranet Portal. All the routine processes which require approvals or confirmation will get finally under your control! For example, you can easily ensure that employees are familiar with a new policy or regulation, form a committee to create an action plan for compliance to it, and monitor the progress of the implementation of that plan.

Collaboration and Project Management

You can include the progress monitor element in a new business process to supervise the progress of its fulfillment. Organize collaboration on a project, and subject each major step of the project to approval by some or all of the participants. In this way, participants of the project do not need to gather together physically in a conference room for major stages to be approved or for the project to advance.

Business processes is a universal tool which can be applied in all manner of scenarios.
