Bitrix Intranet: Licensing Policy

Bitrix Intranet has four editions. The InfoPace edition is licensed on the "per product" basis, while all other senior editions (TeamPace, BizPace, and BizPace Enterprise) are licensed on a "per user" basis. The term "user" implies intranet user accounts registered in Bitrix Intranet. If a prospective customer plans to deploy the product for more than 750 intranet users we suggest contacting the Bitrix Sales Department to get a special quote for Bitrix Intranet with Unlimited User Pack license. The base pack for InfoPace edition includes unlimited number of users. The base pack for TeamPace, BizPace, and BizPace Enterprise editions includes 25 users. Note that the base pack for TeamPace, BizPace, and BizPace Enterprise editions contains the minimum number of licenses available for purchase, i.e. a company with 15 users should buy the base pack with no additional licenses.

The commercial version of Bitrix Intranet is delivered with the full source code and allows you to:

• Download the source code using the SiteUpdate feature in the Control Panel
• Set up the portal permanently (the license never expires)
• Receive 1 year of free technical support, updates, and new modules
• Post to the customer forum to participate in discussions and to influence the priorities of new version development

Updates and Support Renewal

Customers are entitled to upgrade their current editions of Bitrix Intranet. Options include upgrading to the next level edition (i.e. from InfoPace to TeamPace) or even to the highest-level edition (i.e. from InfoPace to BizPace). The upgrade does not extend the subscription period but simply switches the product to a new edition. Please note that upgrade is only available with 1-year subscriptions and no downgrade is allowed.

There is no need to reinstall Bitrix products or any other software to get the advantages of the upgraded edition. The customer receives an upgrade coupon with a special activation code to be entered in the administration console. After the upgrading process is complete, the Bitrix product will be supplied with the latest system updates and the new modules which are included in the new edition.

License Activation

All customers should activate and register their Bitrix Intranet licenses within a 6-month period after the license purchase. If the license has not been activated during that period it is activated automatically. In this case the update period starts from the moment of license activation.

Refund Policy

To optimize the level of customer satisfaction and ensure smooth operations, Bitrix provides a free 30-day trial version of the product which is fully functional. We recommend that you to test the system features using the FREE trial version to make sure that the system works for you and to eliminate any possible refund requests. We believe this trial period is enough to test Bitrix Intranet in the chosen environment thoroughly and to carry out an informed decision concerning purchase our software.

Bitrix Intranet products are non-refundable. We ask for your understanding that we cannot issue any refunds since a free 30-Day Trial version is provided, and since the commercial product version of the software is delivered with the full source code.
