Change Log

The Change Log, located in the Services section, is an monitoring tool that tracks events in the intranet using a simple, easily-read display. This is particularly useful for supervisors or management to see changes in the intranet. The following types of changes can be viewed here:  

  • User registration
  • Page changes (new pages, edits, deletions)
  • Menu item changes (new, changed, deleted)
  • Changes in files (new, edited, deleted, moved, copied, renamed)
  • Section changes (new edited, delected, moved, copied, renamed)
  • Changes in general and specific forums
  • Changes in document libraries
  • Changes in infoblocks (changes in elements and sections)

An expanded version of the Change Log (Event Log) is located in the Control panel and shows more information such as successful logins by users.  This is primarily meant for intranet administrators needing to track problems and reconstruct the intranet's history, as well as detect malicious code or activity.
