Multilingual back-end interface

An important feature of Bitrix Intranet is its support of a multi-lingual interface in the back-end (administrative section), as well as display of system messages in the front end in the main language of the site.

This mulit-language interface is produced through the use of special language files. Each module of the system has a set of language files which are stored in folders identified with the corresponding language and containing the phrases and words which are used in the interface for that language.

Translation of the product is performed by Bitrix partners throughout the world. Most localizations are available for free to any Bitrix user regardless of their country or method of purchase.

Loading and updating language files for new or existing languages is performed through the system updates, but users can introduce their own languages, changes, or special modifications using the Localization module of the portal. This module is also useful for the implementation of an organization specific lexicon, if applicable.

In the case of a implementation of BizPace Enterprise, with multiple intranets based on a single product license, each intranet may have a different language.
