Collective work with documents

Document libraries in the intranet are designed to enable collaboration on documents among any number of users. This means that user having access to a particular library can perform a variety of actions on the documents, not just creating and editing. Workflows, history, versions, commentary and other tools can be employed on each document. Each time a document is edited, an historic version is created which can be recovered at any time. This allows roll-back to any previous version of the document.

All editions of the Bitrix Intranet support business processes in document libraries. Using business process, documents can be approved, assigned for reading, modified, and sent back and forth between responsible parties when there are complex issues to resolve before final approval. Tools that accompany this feature include a discussion thread for each document and a log of the business process progress.
