Activity Stream
The Activity Stream is a unified update notification feed for any updates that happen in the intranet to which the given user has access rights. By default, each user is ‘subscribed’ to all updates available, but narrowing down the list is very easy and can be done on the Activity Stream page itself. There is also a quick-launch for microblogging on the Activity Stream page.
The Activity Stream is accessible via a small button in the header of the intranet with a number indicating how many updates have occurred since the user last looked at the Activity Stream.
External information from sources such as RSS or other enterprise software can be displayed in the Activity Stream by means of the open API (REST, SOAP).
