Channeled Notifications

The intranet enables not only internal communications (instant messages and social networking features), but also is capable of sending notifications about changes in the intranet externally via email.

To keep informed about what a workgroup is doing, for example, or what changes in staff have occurred, or what the latest company news is, you do not have to surf several different pages of the intranet on a daily or weekly basis. By subscribing to updates to any or all of these intranet sections, you can receive notifications via email or by internal messaging (the instant messenger system).

Besides information about events to which you are subscribed, users receive notifications of updates in tasks in which they are involved, invitations to meetings and workgroups, changes in business processes, and ‘friending’ notices if this feature is activated.
