Windows-style User Interface

The Bitrix Site Manager interface is now as functionally simple as Windows. In the new Site Edit Mode, content managing routines are separated from development tasks. The Windows-style Start button has been added to provide quick access to all site management tools. Moreover, content editing tasks can now be performed directly on pages in pop-up layers. The Editor’s toolbar was greatly improved. Now, working with CMS is as easy as working with any Windows Office program.

Native UTF-8 Support

Bitrix Site Manager can now be installed with UTF-8 support that enables you to work comfortably in many languages. Due to this Bitrix Site Manager feature, it is now possible to create and fully support various language packages in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and other languages.

Multi-user Photo Gallery with New User Interface

Photo Gallery has been greatly updated. The new, attractive Photo Gallery interface, along with the multi-user feature, differentiates it from competitors. New features include multiple photo upload, private and public photo galleries, commenting, slide show, thumbnail and full image views, ratings, and tag clouds.

Advanced WYSIWYG Editor for In-place Content Editing

Bitrix Site Manager 7.0 introduces the simple and fast way to create and edit pages, and perform other content management tasks using the advanced WYSIWYG editor. It now opens directly onto the edited page in a pop-up layer. The WYSIWYG editor is more user-friendly, flexible, fast and powerful. In addition to the editor’s standard functionality, it also provides special tools for simplifying content management tasks, such as snippets and components.

Easy-to-follow Wizards

The Installation Wizard is a great new technology for creating starter site solutions with fully customizable demo data. Along with the Installation Wizard, Bitrix Site Manager 7.0 provides an e-store wizard and wizards for creating and editing site pages.It is a fantastic tool for non-technical site editors and managers. Now Bitrix partners can easily create their own solution for special vertical markets, such as tourism, building, real estate and medicine.

Enhanced Blogs and Forum

Blogs are now enriched with the advanced and fully featured WYSIWYG editor (per many customers’ requests). Forums are enhanced with UTF-8 support, new installation technology and new components. A company’s marketing department can now track forum statistics if needed.

OpenID and Live ID Authentication Support

Bitrix Site Manager 7.0 introduces support for new authentication methods OpenID and Live ID. On sites supporting OpenID, users do not have to register and remember logins for each site. It will be enough for them to register on the Web site of an OpenID provider, and the information they provide on one site will be transferred to other Web sites supporting the OpenID authorization.

New Product Editions

Bitrix Site Manager 7.0 introduces two new product editions: Premium and Ultimate. These packages will support MySQL, Oracle, and MSSQL databases, and will be very stable on heavy loads. These editions also include the new Performance Monitor module, which helps to monitor site loads and controls them as the necessity arises. The Premium edition consists of the Professional package modules plus Performance monitor, AD/LDAP and Workflow. The Ultimate edition includes all Enterprise edition features, and is enriched with the AD/LDAP and Performance Monitor modules. In addition, the Start, Standard, Small Business, Professional and Enterprise editions will support only the MySQL database. The AD/LDAP module will be excluded from the Enterprise edition.

New Pricing Policy

The Bitrix Site Manager CMS has been greatly enhanced with the release of version 7.0. The product pricing policy is also changing. MySQL product packages will range from $249 to $2399. All updates have been thoroughly tested for security vulnerabilities. All users of version 6.XX and previous versions can update their systems using SiteUpdate to version 7.0.
