Chat Message Read Status

Nishant Bhatt User Posts: 109 Joined: 02/22/2012	#1 09/17/2012 15:04:54 Hello Right now we are changing some template for chat, we want to know regarding message read or not status, Could you please tell me how we find out message viewed(reached) to second user or not? i found this function "CSocNetMessages" however not find actual parameter for this. Hello Nishant,

If you use the Instant Messenger module, then there is no such API.

If this module isn't used, then messages go via the Social Network module, and the CSocNetMessages::GetList() method can be used. The DATE_VIEW field is a date when a message has been read.

Note: If an XMPP/Jabber client is used, then a message is considered to be 'read' immediately when it reaches the recipient. Otherwise, it is considered 'read' when the recipient opens the dialog window in the portal.
