Export to RSS
The Blogs module can export the blog contents to RSS. All you have to do is enable it in the module settings. Once you have the RSS export turned on, your blog main page and each post will display buttons allowing to export data to a required format:
A Trackback is the method for blog authors to request notification when somebody links to one of their documents. This enables authors to keep track of who is linking to, or referring to their articles. This helps to avoid duplicating an article in many blogs: if a blog post extends messages in other blogs, it is sufficient to place a link to the article in question in comments to relevant articles in other blogs.
Bitrix Site Manager implements trackbacks in the following way.
- The message editing form has a Trackbacks field in which an author can provide URL's of parent articles (i.e. those to which the current article refers):
- when visitors view the current article, the parent one gets automatically notified of being linked.
Sometimes, trackbacks can put a supplementary load on the site's traffic due to additional requests. To avoid overload, you can disable (or then enable) trackbacking for an individual article, in the message editing form:
If trackbacks are enabled, the article details page will display the Trackback address link:
