Using Media Library In The Visual HTML Editor

Adding An Image:

• Open a page for editing in the visual editor;
• Click the Image button on the editor toolbar::



The New Image dialog box will appear.

• On the image browse button, click the drop-down arrow and click Select a Media Library item in the menu:



• In the Media Library browser, select an image you want to insert:



Note: you can upload a new image to Media Library using this form by clicking Add Element.
• All other form fields are optional; fill them in as you consider appropriate:



• Click Save.

Once you have saved the changes in the visual editor, the photo will show at the web page.

Adding A Media File Player To A Web Page

• Open a page for editing in the visual editor;
• Add the Media Player component to the page (bitrix:player) (Content > Media > Media Player):



• Find the File Path component parameter:



• Click the browse button beside the field and select a media file in the Media Library browser:



• Save changes.

Using Media Library With Information Blocks

As an illustration, consider the example of creating a book catalog element:

• Start by adding a new element to the book catalog (Content > Book Catalog > Books);
• In the element creation form, click the Preview or Details tab:



• Click the Media Library tab in the preview image area:



• Click the browse button [...] and select a media file in the Media Library browser:



Click Select. The pathname of the selected item will be used as the thumbnail (or full) image:
