New templates delivering flexible collaboration scenarios
The introduced collaboration model is based on Bitrix24's social intranet concept (www.bitrix24.com). Bitrix Intranet is an on-premise solution intended for companies that prefer to store sensitive data internally. Bitrix Intranet 11.5 provides two product templates to choose from, depending on the desired user experience: the Classic Intranet template, and a new Social Intranet template that gives prominence to social interaction realized in the Activity Stream, commenting, the Like button, social search, and other enhancements. The new template simplifies navigation and reduces the time needed for employees to get completely comfortable in the environment.
The Activity Stream is a single-point for employees to get updates on projects and workgroups, carry on discussions with colleagues, view comments, receive documents and files, and manage or create new tasks, etc. The Activity Stream, which is available on the Intranet home page and in each workgroup, displays only those updates and discussion threads that a user is involved in (or has access to). Another important part of the Social Intranet template is the Create button that can be accessed from any page of your Intranet. This button reduces excess navigation inside the Intranet allowing intranet users to initiate tasks, send messages, schedule calendar events, upload files and even create new workgroups.
Both templates are also equipped with another time-saver - the visual Company Structure. The new Company Structure employs drag-and-drop technology for moving employees, creating departments, and specifying department heads. Subordination in the Company Structure is used throughout the Intranet and directly influences features like reporting, delegation of tasks, and business process scenarios.
Social interaction and thoughtful communication tools
The era of email messaging with annoying many-page conversations is long forgotten in companies which choose to implement more efficient social communication tools. Bitrix Intranet 11.5 allows posting of messages and initiating conversations directly from the Activity Stream. These messages will be delivered to the users chosen: all employees, certain departments, workgroups, or individual colleagues, who can then continue the conversation with comments or attached files, photos, and videos.
The built-in Instant Messenger deliveries internal messages and system notifications, including task updates, document changes, etc. The product retains its XMPP server which supports messaging in a web browser or from a compatible Jabber client on your desktop.
Secure collaboration with clients and partners in Extranet
Teamwork in the Extranet is completely analogous to workgroups inside the Intranet - all information and updates can be monitored in the Activity Stream, avoiding email messages chaotically scattered among the people involved in a project. Of course, none of the Extranet users will ever have access to the Intranet, which is for company employees only.
CRM, Tasks, Business Processes
Previously autonomous modules and tools are now tightly integrated as if the product was a "true living organism" with numerous interdependencies. In Version 11.5, the Business Processes module integrates with Tasks and the CRM. Thanks to this smart integration, new tasks can be assigned, lead processing procedures in the CRM can be carried out more transparently, and you can also set automatic reports at any stage of a Business Process.
